The body scan is an important technique to explore the physical sensations in your body. The Body Scan is a method you can do anywhere and will help you get in touch with the present moment. Many of my clients have practiced body scanning and have shared that the process of noticing and releasing has been incredibly helpful with alleviating stress and uncomfortable sensations in the body.

After scanning your body answer the following questions:

  • How are your feeling?

  • What did you notice while you were doing the body scan?

  • What was difficult about the body scan? What was helpful?

  • What are the areas in your body where you most often experience discomfort, tension, tightness or pain?

  • What would you need in order to release those uncomfortable sensations? What has helped in the past?
